things
I think are mean:
1. Seeing someone eat an ice cream cone that you can't have.
2. Someone leaving only 1 chocolate chip cookie in the cookie jar.
3. Favorite writers who post snippets of a book only to tell you that it won't be out until NEXT YEAR.
4. Getting a compliment when you feel your absolute worse..I mean does that mean when I think I look great I really look like crap?
5. Thinking you have lost weight only to step on the scale and realize the number has gone UP
I think are wonderful:
1. Kisses and hugs from my daughter and husband.
2. The fact that my husband enjoys cooking us dinner.
3. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in which I have to "test" a cookie from each batch coming out of the oven to make sure they are done.
4. The library that I frequent having new "smut" books that I like to read on the shelf.
5. Air conditioning in my house..especially when the temp outside is 69 and the dew point is 68.
6. The fall leaves starting to show.
7. My new hip is not painful (muscles a bit sore but the hip works great).
8. The fact that we have health insurance to allow me to get a new hip at 40.
9. Instant messenger..so I can "chat" with my sister on a regular basis.
10. and most of all....CHOCOLATE... (and the fact that I am not a diabetic yet).

Guiding Light

After 72 years, my favorite show of all time has ended. It is almost like losing old friends.
Won't be able to crush on: Frank Dicopoulos , Grant Aleksander , Jordan Clarke , Kurt McKinney , Michael O'Learly , Ron Raines, Robert Bogue, and especially Robert Newman .
Will miss seeing: Beth Chamberlin , Elizabeth Keifer , Marj Dusay, and especially Tina Sloan and Kim Zimmer.
Goodbye friends of Springfield. Your light has dimmed but I hope to see you all working one something new real soon.
Okay..I am a sucker but have been a fan for over 25 years.

outside
I am going to leave my house for the first time since last Wednesday. I mean I have not stepped outside AT ALL in a week..not even a toe outside. Talk about cabin fever. I am used to at least leaving to take Princess to school or pick her up but I can't drive so I have not ventured outside at all..not even to get the mail.
I so need some sunshine on my face.

I have the best husband in the world. He puts up with me and my stubborness. So I am home from the hospital. Have a new right hip, walker, and a bedside commode. Always was griping that I wanted a second toilet..but not sure if this is exactly what I wanted..LOL

Survived the surgery very well. Pain is really not that bad..and if it is..there is always Percocet. Guess the pain before the surgery was preparing me for after surgery.
Now I just want to nap all the time. Power of positive thinking is still going. My body will heal quickly and then I will have the other hip done.
