My new Christmas accessory
See this little item...this has become my new Christmas accessory.
It is called a knee immobilizer. Seems that for me sleeping is dangerous. I went to straighten my right knee the other night and my knee was locked into the bent position. After much screaming in pain, tears, and waking up the house, I finally agreed to go to the emergency room. So off we go...Honey, Princess, and fat Mama. Of course it had to be the coldest damn night in history. The temp gauge in the truck said it was 3...yes that is three degrees...with a wind chill of -25.
Seems that I have now torn my right lateral meniscus...lovely. Now I get to wear this darn thing for a few days. Merry Christmas to me.
UPDATE: After 24 hours and some loverly Vicodin it is now feeling better. I can straighten it a bit but it is still sore.
Moral of the story..I don't have to do anything but try to sleep and I still get hurt..damn it. LOL.

My new favorite dish is Pasta Alla Vodka. I am sure it is soooo very healthy..LOL..not. It may not be heart healthy but let me tell you...it is hunger pain (or is it hunger pang?) satisfying!
The best part of it was that my dear darling husband made it! I was going to take before and after shots of the HUGE vat..er..I mean.. bowl that we made but well, I didn't feel like wasting precious eating time looking for the camera.
Anyway..if you like pasta..you must try it..yum-o
