catch-up

Okay..so it has been a few weeks since I posted..man life gets busy sometimes.

Went to NY for my Gramma’s 80th birthday. It was a huge surprise for her that everyone came..and an even bigger surprise was the party on Sunday. There were about 40 people who showed up. I saw cousins that I had not seen since I was in my early teens. It is so strange to see us all with families now. I know that Gramma enjoyed herself. She just kept saying “I can’t believe no one let it slip”. We kept saying.. “Well if you would get the hearing aid that you need, you would have heard all about it.” LOL. She is the epitome of a family matriarch. We love her so much and hope that the Alzheimer’s will hold off and she will remember us all.

School ended and we are on to a few summer day camp activities before Princess gets too big for them. I think this might be the last year for them..lord..what shall I do next year???? What do you do with kids when you are working during the summer? Maybe next year she will be ready for a week of sleep-away camp..here is hoping. I have great memories of going away to camp during the summer.

My dear hubby planted our garden and I am eagerly awaiting home grown tomatoes, cukes, peppers, and wonderful herbs. In the meantime, we will settle for our local farmer’s market. That brings me to my website of the week...which is http://www.localharvest.org/

You might need to double check the site, because I know some of the markets have moved. You can always Google farmers markets in your area or check your local paper..sometimes they have listings. I know where I live, many farmer’s markets start at the end of June and beginning of July.

Check it out and support your local farmers
