death bed no more

Well after 5 days of feeling like I should be asking for Lillies for Christmas, I am finally able to feel somewhat human today.

I felt like Pigpen from Charlie Brown..but instead of dirt, I had a cloud of toxic germs floating around me. I have had the snot factory in overdrive, coughing up a lung or two, plugged ears, swollen neck glands, and more aches and pains than I ever thought possible. So tell me..why did I get that flu shot this year?

Anyway...after dealing with it for four days, I finally took myself off to the Docs yesterday. He is a wonderful doctor. I think family doctors are great people who deserve much more love and kindness. After listening to my tachycardic heart, looking in my inflamed ears, feeling my swollen neck, he said..."Yep..you're sick". LOL.. Thanks doc..that will be 20 bucks right? LOL. So now I am on 10 days of antibiotics since my immune system is crap anyway and can't seem to do it's job completely and also on Mucinex DM. BTW..those Mucinex commercials are gross..really gross.

So after sleeping for over 14 hours and being on the meds, I think I am beginning to feel like a real person now.

Moral of this story..wash your hands more than you ever though possible, stay away from sick people, buy stock in Mucinex, and hug your family doctor!
