Trying to figure out what system is better (as far as price, number of "girl" games offered, etc...)

I am ALL OVER this.
Don't do Gamecube - it's old, going to be obsolete soon (you can play Gamecube games on the Wii).
Wii is cheapest and my personal favorite. The game selection is more family-friendly and most games actually get your body active since it has the motion sensor bar.
Most guys I know prefer the Xbox 360 - it is cheaper than the Playstation 3, and the "Live" features are apparently better (you can get monthly online subscriptions for Xbox 360 and PS3 for downloads, buddy gaming, etc.). It has slightly more games than the PS3.
PS3 is expensive and not as popular, but has slightly better graphics and a Blu-Ray DVD player built in. Unfortunately, though, the new models do not play older PS2 and PS1 games.

Thanks so much for the input!! I have had several people all say the same things..Looks like Wii wins..I guess I had better get out and buy one now before they are all sold out!
We have Playstation 2 and were going to upgrade to a wii but decided on a Nintendo DS after recommendations from other moms and dads saying the coolness of the wii wore off quickly unless you have tons of games.
